Instagrams

I awoke this morning with my legs covered in some sort of rash. So I get to go the lovely doctor today. I'm dreading it. Did I ever tell you that I'm a hermit? Well, I am. I think that's probably why I love social networking so much. Last Saturday morning I woke up with hives and during the weekend was in the ER twice and then the Doctors office Monday morning. I was on prednisone but evidently it is out of my system and the hives/rash is back. Not a good way to start the day. Itch. Itch. Itch.

I haven't shared any of my instagrams in a few weeks so I thought I would today. Pictures are of the everyday. Vacationing with my parents. Visiting my grandmother. My trip to the ER. Lots of stuff.

 

I love Instagram. Love having these images not just sitting in my phone. Love that I can capture moments and not regret leaving my big camera at home. Makes me happy.

She's a Keeper

This child.

Is so beautiful.

So difficult.

I really thought that I had this mothering thing down before this one arrived. I mean I have three others.

I didn't think I was prideful. We would always get comments such as...

"Your kids are so well behaved."

"Your kids are so good.

"You are so lucky to have good kids." - Luck has nothing to do with it, thank you very much.

Then entered Lillie and I realize now that I was prideful. God has humbled me with this one.

She is stubborn. Loud. Crazy fast. Smart as a whip! A total manipulator. She can take care of herself and will hit you in the face if you get in the way- we are nipping this in the bud. 

She is also sweet. Loves our dog like never before. Her latest is "Ginger, outside" and "what's that?"

Has a headful of curls. Her eyes look like blueberries. She loves her baby dolls. Carries a purse around just like her mama. 

There really is only one Lillie.

But... I wouldn't have it any other way.

She's a keeper this one. :)

Good Friday Morning. I woke up this morning and thought it was Thursday. It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't planned company for Friday. So I'm about to get busy cleaning the house. I went out of town last week to visit my parents and just have not gotten back into the swing of things! This might have something to do with it though.

                                        

I'm a little shocked but happy. Worried, but happy. Very Thankful!

I've also been creating! 

This is my first 9x11 canvas. I've been working really hard trying to get my faces the way I want them. Drawing late at night. Finally, I just went for it. It's supposed to resemble Karigan and myself. 

Well, I have a ton of stuff to do and four kids to take care of.

It's a layout! Yay!

I created a layout. It's been almost two years since I've finished one. Two Years! It was so much fun and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. I signed up for Jenni Bowlin last month. 

The background paper was a bit busy for a background so I whitewashed it and then added stamps and lots of ink to distress it. I really love how it turned out. 

Just wanted to share.

She Art Girls

I've been taking Christy Tomlinson's, She Art class. I've learned so much! I think I've found something that I'm loving, Mixed Media! Here is a few that I've made recently.

Savannah

Last weekend my Mom, Karigan and I went to Savannah! It was so nice to get away from the day to day here at home. It was the first time I've spent the night away from Lillie, but boy did I miss her. I got my baby fix though. 

Is she not precious? That's Miss Cate sleeping on my mom's chest. I fell in love with those babies!

Karigan found two new besties! 

I know that you recognize those faces. We met up with the Howell girls while in Savannah. I met Stephanie about four years ago on Two Peas and then we both met up at a scrapbook retreat in Alabama. We've pretty much kept in touch through email and blogging since. So it was a real big treat to see her and finally love on her girls! Boy, she has her hands full! LOL. That was totally meant to be sarcastic. I've had twins and now I have four kids of my own. I get that stinkin comment all the time but I'm sure she gets it about 1000 times more with babies. She does in fact have her hands full. Full of blessings. Her girls are darling. Harper was cheerful and pretty much lit the room when she walked in. Sadie was adorable and kinda shy but precious. Her hair was just the cutest thing you have ever seen and I love how she smiles with her entire face. And, oh those babies. I just wanted to squeeze them. I loved on them and played with them. It was the best.

Oh, and I did spend some time with this girl too! :)

We took this picture after we were severly freaked out by a homeless man who walked right up to us and looked like he was going to take our children. Kinda scary. Let's just say we left him, fast!

Friday night we did a little shopping. My favorite place in all the world now, thanks Steph, is The Paris Market. Oh, MY WORD! It was full of vintage and charm, and looked just like pages from Somerset Magazine! If you are a crafter I'm sure you know what I mean. Totally pricey but I did get a few little knickknacks that weren't too expensive. It was lovely to just be there. It really felt like I stepped into a Paris market. Not that I know what that feels like but I'm sure it would be something like that. ;p

We also went to Lady and Sons.

Don't you wish you could be a kid again?! Meet the first time and instantly become bff's. Sigh.

That night we were beat! We said our goodbye's to the Howell's and went back to the hotel. We ordered in at the Mellow Mushroom, took a shower, and we were all in bed by 8 watching Little House on the Prairie. I think we were asleep by 9. 

The next morning we met Stephanie for breakfast at Back in the Day Bakery. Look at this place!

 

After we twirled and played "Ring Around the Rosie" in the middle of the bakery no less. We played in the park and then said our goodbyes. Thanks Steph, for all the fun and smiles you brought to our weekend. We can't wait to see you again!!!

My mom and I did a little window shopping. That's the best kind, right? Look at these pieces...

After we browsed for awhile we went to The Savannah Tea Room. It was lovely and so nice to just sit down in the AIR CONDITIONING and enjoy each others company. 

The picture above was Karigan's fruit plate. I wish that I would have taken more pictures of the tea room but I was ready to get home to love on the rest of my family. Thank you Mama for taking us and creating such special memories. I love you.

 

 

 

 

InstaFriday!

One of the reasons why I wanted the iphone was all because of instagram. I love my camera but I don't have the energy to carry it around with me all the time. So now that I have instagram maybe I will start blogging more. We can hope, can't we?

My boys are so weird. 

Yesterday, I found an app called Diptic. You can make these photo collages and then post them to Instagram. Brillant!

My "She Art" girls and my $50 bookcase that is awesome. This thing is huge and solid! Bought it at a yard sale about a month ago and the guy even delivered it to my living room. Score! It holds all my art supplies.

She's One!

She turned one today!

How is that possible? To celebrate she has a double ear infection and she gave us a taste of what the newborn experience was like! In all honesty though, she was pitiful last night. I'm so thankful that she is feeling much better. 

I wanted to take a few pictures of her today but I was dragging and she was just way too fussy to pose I'm sure. 

Happy Birthday sweet girl. Come Saturday we will celebrate your birthday and you feeling like yourself again. I love you!

Around the House

The past couple of weeks...

These two turned TEN! 

They are super excited about their birthday present!

(They have actually had her for a about three weeks now. She was an early birthday present. She's huge already)

Last Saturday I went yard saling. My favorite thing to do!

So excited about my scale and printers box!

I have big plans for the box. I paid $25.00 for it. Is that too much? Doesn't matter though. I had to have it.

Loving my new lamp. 

Decorated my mantel for Spring and made a wreath for my front door

and trying to over a nasty cold. Happy late Mother's day!

Sweet Lillie

She is turning one in 19 days. How did that happen? 

A local photographer took these pictures a few weeks ago. She asked if Lillie could be her model. I wasn't sure how she would do. I didn't think she would be very good at sitting still but she did great! 

This is her classic Lillie face. Scrunched up nose and all!

She likes animals but only on her terms! I have this picture on my desktop. Makes me laugh every.single.time.

 This child has given me a run for my money this past year. She is spunky, loud, and loves her mama!
